Zidane trains with a full squad except for Varane ahead of Atletico Madrid clash
The centre-back has started his recovery but is the only absentee as Zinedine Zidane thinks about playing the same eleven as the one that beat Atletico in Milan in Champions League final
Real Madrid's last training session before the Madrid Derby on Saturday took place on Friday at 11:00 and Zinedine Zidane had everyone on the field except for Raphael Varane as he considers starting the same team as the one that beat Atletico Madrid in the Champions League final in May of last year in Milan.
The media were privy to just 15 minutes at the start of the session where everyone was all smiles before, you would presume, the tactics board was whipped out. Real Madrid are confident heading into the game having won six on the trot while Atletico provide Real with their first major hurdle to clear on route to a possible league title. They are unbeaten in March and only drew once against Deportivo la Coruña and have a firm enough grasp on the third spot ahead of Sevilla, who were ahead of them for much of the campaign.
Zidane's starting eleven
Zidane has all eleven players available to him that started that Champions League final in 2016 and each of them are at a high enough level physically to start. The team, if Zidane does decide to pick it would consist of: Keylor, Carvajal, Pepe, Ramos, Marcelo, Casemiro, Kroos, Modric, Bale, Benzema and Cristiano.
