Real Madrid: Dani Carvajal hamstring injury confirmed
Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal went off injured at half-time in the Champions League semi-final first leg at the BernabéuEibar - Real Madrid: LaLiga week 28
Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal is out for three to four weeks after suffering a Grade II hamstring injury during Tuesday night's Champions League semi-final first leg against Atlético Madrid at the Bernabéu.
Carvajal fell after a challenge with Saúl
Carvajal jumped with Saúl and landed awkardly, just before half-time. He requested attention and left the pitch at that point. He didn't come back on for the second half, being replaced by Nacho.
Real Madrid confirm Carvajal's injury
The Real Madrid defender underwent tests on Wednesday morning, which confirmed the injured, later announced on the Real Madrid website.
Carvajal aiming for Champions League final
A Grade II injury would generally require around three to four weeks recovery, meaning the defender will miss next week's Champions League semi-final second leg and almost certainly the rest of the Liga (the last game is on the weekend of 21 May) and will be fighting to get back for the Champions League final in Cardiff, which looks likely unless Atletico produce a stunning comeback at the Calderón.
Zidane's choices to replace Carvajal
Zidane's options to cover for Carvajal are likely to be Nacho and Danilo, or possibly Achraf.
