Ramos: We've been the best team in the best league
Sergio Ramos was delighted after winning his first LaLiga title as Real Madrid captain, following a 0-2 victory against Málaga.

Sergio Ramos captained Real Madrid to the 2016-2017 LaLiga title, their first in five years, sealed with a 0-2 victory over Málaga at La Rosaleda.
Ramos hails consistency
Speaking at full time, Ramos said “it’s a brilliant feeling. It’s a reward for our consistency, a great team deserves to win a league title after so much sacrifice.”
He continued, “Consistency has been the key, playing each game as if it were the last. There have been bad games, as is to be expected, but the team has shown personality, and has picked up the points.”
When asked about pipping Barcelona to the title, Ramos preferred to concentrate on Madrid’s own achievements:
“To win the league is a big achievement. It’s the best league in the world. We have shown that we’re the best, and now it’s time to celebrate.”

Cibeles the celebration centre
“Now we have time to enjoy it, and our fans are waiting for us at Cibeles.”
