NBA: LaVar Ball tells Boston Celtics his son will not work out for them

LaVar Ball has spoken openly that he wants his son to play in Los Angeles with the LA Lakers. His 19-year-old, 6 foot 6, point guard son is expected to be drafted early in the NBA Draft at the end of June and the Celtics are on the clock first, but Danny Ainge, the general manager of the Celtics, has reportedly said that Ball's Father, a man who is not unused to making headlines, told him that Lonzo will not work out with them. 

It might not matter, as many draft experts have Markelle Fultz going number one with Lonzo Ball falling to the Lakers anyway but it certainly does not help Lonzo's entrance to the league. Pressure on rookies selected high in the first round is intense enough without the need for the circus that LaVar is creating around his son.

Big Baller Brand

Just recently, Ball Senior released a show on his Big Baller Brand that cost €450, which the Los Angeles native was criticised heavily for. Ball has already created a splash when he said that he would have been able to beat Michael Jordan in a game of one-on-one. 

Ball also told a female journalist, Kristine Leahy, to "stay in her lane" after an interview got heated. After she probed him on how many shoes he sold, Ball said "I never disrespect women. But I’ll tell you what, if you act like that, guess what? Something’s coming to you, and it’s okay.” He has since put t-shirts that say "stay in your lane" on his website at the cool cost of $60. 

The summer is young and Lonzo Ball is just getting started so expect LaVar to make plenty more headlines as the former UCLA baller continues in his career.
