PSG reach deal with Fiorentina for Jesé Rodríguez - reports
La Viola have reportedly tied up a two-year loan deal for the former Real Madrid forward, with the player's salary the only stumbling block.
Jesé Rodríguez is one of a number of players who find themselves surplus to requirements at Paris Saint-Germain and Fiorentina have reportedly hammered out a deal to take the winger on loan for two seasons with an obligatory purchase option.
After Neymar’s arrival at the Parc des Princes Unai Emery is over-stocked in the attacking department and the former Real Madrid forward, whose career at PSG has not turned out as either club or player had hoped, is one of the prime candidates to free up a squad number for 2017-18.
Jesé's wages a problem
Italian broadcaster TMW on Friday reported that Fiorentina had agreed a deal in principle to take Jesé off PSG’s hands but with one matter yet to be resolved: the player’s wage demands. La Viola are planning to ask the Ligue 1 giants to pay part of the 24-year-old’s salary.
Jesé did not train with his PSG teammates on Friday and his departure appears to imminent, although there has been no official statement from either club.
