According to The Guardian, PSG and Monaco have reached an agreement worth 155 million euros for the forward but it has to meet Uefa regulations.
According to UK daily The Guardian, PSG and Monaco have reached an agreement for the transfer of Kylian Mbappé but the deal is being held up by doubts surrounding the Parisian club’s ability to comply with Uefa Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations.
The Guardian reported on Sunday that the two Ligue 1 outfits have agreed a fee of 155 million euros for the France international but face a task in persuading Uefa that a second enormous outlay of the summer can be made within the framework of FFP after PSG paid Barcelona a world record 222 million euros for Neymar.
Uefa president: "I am very serious about FFP"
“I am very serious about this matter,” Uefa president Aleksander Ceferin said on Friday about FFP regulations. "I am not talking about PSG; I am talking about every club in Europe.”
PSG and Manchester City were both sanctioned by Uefa in 2014 for contravening FFP, with the Premier League club fined 60 million euros and told to name a reduced squad with a quota of eight homegrown players for the 2014-15 Champions League. Both sides were knocked out by Barcelona in the latter stages of the competition.
