Barcelona training kit gets Beko 57 million euros sponsorship
It was announced on Thursday that the Catalan giants are to recoup more commercial revenue as they strike a deal with Turkish domestic appliance company.
After their much publicised spending exploits last summer (Dembèlè) and this January (Coutinho) Barcelona are looking to cash in on revenue whenever possible. On Thursday the club announced a new sponsorship deal worth 57 million euros.
Beko and Barça extend partnership
The agreement, reported by Mundo Deportivo, is with Beko, a Turkish domestic appliance and consumer electronics brand with whom there is a long-standing relationship, and whose name will be displayed on the training kit of the Catalan giants. This was a revenue stream lying dormant ever since Barça cut ties with previous sponsors, Qatar Airways. The training shirts get significant exposure as they are used in open sessions ahead of each game.
As well as the training kits and match day shirt sleeves, Beko's branding will also be shown around La Masia academy.
According to the reports Beko, who have been the club's main sponsors since 2014, will extend their deal if various milestones are achieved with Barcelona set to confirm this next month.
