Messi, Suárez etc 9 consecutive months scoring at the Camp Nou
It was always going to be a tough ask for Espanyol to keep a clean sheet to guarantee progression in the Copa as Barça haven't failed to score since April 2017.
Quique Sánchez Flores arrived at the Camp Nou knowing that if Espanyol wanted to go through to the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey it would most likely involved his side scoring. Keeping a clean sheet against Barcelona in their own stadium is proving a tough task.
Nine months of Barça home goals
The last time that Barça were prevented from scoring in the Camp Nou was more than nine months ago when Juventus came to town. Since that game on 19 April 2017, the day Luis Enrique's side were eliminated from the Champions League, the side have played 18 games at home where they have scored 63 goals, an average of 3.5 per match. And in 17 of those games the team managed to notch more than one goal, with only the home leg of the Spanish Super Copa against Madrid restricting them to just a single digit.

Ernesto Valverde has been in charge of the team for the majority of that run but even before it started in April there have been very few occasions in recent years when the opposition left the iconic stadium were their goal intact. Across the whole of last season there was only the Juventus game and that against Málaga in the first outing of the league, which finished 0-0. In the 2015-16 season, they scored in every single official match at the Camp Nou, while in the 2014-15 campaign, there were just two games in which they failed to break down the visitors: against Celta and Málaga.
