PSG-REAL MADRID

Early Real Madrid news suggests no Bale, Modric or Kroos

Zinedine Zidane has some big decisions to make on Tuesday night against PSG in the Champions League as they look to hold on for qualification.

Toni Kroos, Luka Modric and Marcelo all return to the fold against PSG on Tuesday night in the Champions League but it seems only two of the three will start for Zinedine Zidane's side.

Miguel Angel Diaz from Cope suggests Toni Kroos and Casemiro will start at the base of Real Madrid's midfield. The same journalist broke the news about Bale being dropped for the first leg. He also reportes that Marco Asensio is set to start on Tuesday night in Paris with options beind narrowed down over Zidane's team selection.

UPDATE: Further reports suggest that none of Bale, Modric or Kroos will start, however, with Luca, Casemiro, Kovacic, Asensio, Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo all set to start

Edu Pidal suggests the starting XI consists of Keylor, Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo, Casemiro, Kovacic, Lucas Vázquez, Asensio, Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo

How will Zidane set up?

In the first leg, Zidane opted for a starting XI of Navas, Nacho, Varane, Ramos, Marcelo, Modric, Casemiro, Kroos, Isco, Benzema, Cristiano. Dani Carvajal is back from suspension, however, and should start at right-back and Nacho is not comfortable at left-back while Marcelo completed the best part of 30 minutes against Getafe at the weekend meaning he should be good to go. The other question is who Zidane selects out of Bale and Lucas Vazquez and if he is playing a double-pivot without Modric then it will be an either-or decision.

PSG have to score twice and this might mean a counter-attacking approach from Zidane so speed on the wings is vital.
