Omar Mascarell undergoing medical with Schalke
The midfielder is close to signing for the German club, who will pay a fee of around 10 million euros for the player. Villarreal and Bayern Munich had also shown interest.

Midfielder Omar Mascarell is close to completing a move to Bundesliga side Schalke 04. The 25-year-old, who Real Madrid were thinking about buying back this summer for 4 million euros by triggering a a clause in his contract, is undergoing a medical in Gelsenkirchen, Bild reports.
Bayern and Villarreal interested in Mascarell
The German daily also claim that Schalke will pay a 10 million euro transfer fee for Mascarell, who spent last season at Eintracht Frankfurt. Various outlets had reported that the player was considering offers from Bayern Munich and Villarreal but in the end, has decided to accept the proposal tabled by Raúl González's old club. According to Bild, the transfer could go through in the next few hours
