Keylor Navas an option for Manchester City
According to reports in Spain, the Costa Rican stopper, now facing the fact he's probably Real Madrid's second choice keeper behind new signing Courtois, could be in Manchester City's sights. The Premier League club could be keen to bring him in on an emergency loan deal to provide back-up for Ederson after Claudio Bravo snapped his achilles tendon. Navas has though always insisted he'll fight for his place at Real Madrid.
Juventus better than Real Madrid
Ex-Italian goalkeeper Dino Zoff reckons “Juventus are better than Real Madrid” this season, with his focus not actually particularly on the signing of one Portuguese player, but rather the side's "frightening midfield"
No striker for Real Madrid

Back to training
The Real Madrid first team squad were back in training this morning at 11:00 CEST at Valdebebas, after having yesterday off. Their next match is away against Girona on Sunday night at 22:15 CEST. You'll be able to follow that match live here on AS English of course.
The team started with a gym session before working on pressing and ball circulation. After that it was crossing practice, ball work and all round fitness for Lopetegui's men, before finishing up with mini-games on small pitches.
Mayoral: close to Sevilla
According to TV programme El Chiringuito de los Jugones, striker Borja Mayoral may already have agreed personal terms with Sevilla, however Real Madrid have put the move on hold until they find a replacement.
Odegaard to Vitesse
Odegaard's wanderings continue, with the not-as-young-as-he-was-but-still-only-19-years-old Norwegian heading to Vitesse on loan. He was at Heerenven last season. He arrived at Real Madrid back in 2014 and has made two senior appearances for the club.
Pjanic renews with Juventus
The Bosnian midfielder, who Real Madrid were keen on to replace Kovacic, has extended his deal with Juventus to 2023. His salary is bumped from 4.5 million euros a year to 6.5.
Real Madrid Foundation goes back to the jails
The Real Madrid Foundation has renewed its agreement with Spanish Interior Ministry and Foundation Padre Garralda-Horizontes Abiertos to bring sporting and cultural programmes to the inmates at 23 jails in Spain.
