Piqué: "My form with Barça has improved since retiring from Spain duty"
Piqué says his performance with Barcelona has improved this season becase he retired from international duty with Spain saying he is more refreshed this season.
Gerard Piqué spoke after the game between Catalonia and Venezuela and discussed his performance with Barcelona, his retirement and the game against the South Americans.
Performance: "It's not just my situation but many others too, but in my case it's evident that I am performing better with Barcelona during the season because I'm not going with the Spanish team."
Rendimiento: "No solo es mi caso, sino el de muchos otros, pero en el mío es evidente que estoy rindiendo más con el Barça durante la temporada porque no voy con la Selección".
Retirement from Spain: "People who don't want to understand won't understand but in the moment, I explained. I retired from Spain duty because it was the right moment and because I needed a break. The Catalan team only needs me for one day. The two things are not the same."
Victory against Venezuela: "We played a great game with a great result."
Songs against Spain: "Respect, above all else, but from both sides. In Catalonia, we have to set an example."
