Real Madrid: Courtois back but Zidane won't risk Vinicius
Real Madrid have announced their squad for the visit to Getafe this evening with Marcos Llorente, Dani Ceballos and Mariano missing out.
Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has announced his squad for the trip to Champions League aspirants Getafe and as expected the Frenchman has elected not to risk Vinicius Junior in the Coliseum.
Zidane took the decision to delay the Brazilian’s comeback after a knee problem despite Vinicius taking part in full training this week. The novelty in the Real boss’ squad is the return of keeper Thibaut Courtois, and who will start against Getafe will be keenly observed with Zidane appearing to have restored Keylor Navas to his previous position of number one, which he held during the entirety of Zidane’s previous reign.
Another curiosity in the sticks department is the omission of Luca Zidane, who made his Liga debut in the 3-2 win over Huesca, in favour of youth team keeper Diego Altube.
Missing from Zidane’s squad are Sergio Ramos (hamstring) and Álvaro Odriozola (collarbone), while Marcos Llorente, Dani Ceballos and Mariano have all been omitted with Brahim Díaz and Fede Valverde preferred in midfield.
