REAL MADRID

Vinicius returns to Madrid

We caught up with the young Brazilian as he landed at Madrid's Barajas airport, as he got back in time for pre-season with Zidane.

Update:
Vinicius returns to Madrid

Vinicius Jr landed at Terminal 4 of Barajas airport at 10:25 on Sunday and the ASTV cameras were on hand to welcome him back to the Spanish capital.

Preseason beckons for Vinicius

The 18-year old was accompanied on his flight from Río de Janeiro by his friend Felipe, and there were no representatives from Real Madrid. Initially the youngster preferred not to say too much, offering a simple, "I cannot say anything" to those hoping to have a few words with him.

Vinicius did, however, look nice and relaxed after his summer break, one in which he met up with compatriots Neymar and Adriano.

Although a lack of pitch time following his injury prevented him from making the Brazil squad for the Copa América, the Madrid winger wanted to send his boys a message ahead of their final on Sunday night. "Brazil will win the final," he confidently stated.

Vinicius admitted that he was happy to be back in Madrid to get playing again for Los Blancos and was looking forward to meeting up with his friend Rodrygo, one of the club's summer signings.

Monday 8 July sees Zinedine Zidane - someone Vinicius has recently opened up about - get the pre-season back underway and the young Brazilian is expected to be very much part of that.
