Real Madrid: Marco Asensio continuing his recovery with hydrotherapy sessions
Marco Asensio is busy working every day in his recovery from a torn ACL and meniscus. Real Madrid published a video of him exercising in the club's swimming pool.
Marco Asensio is staking the first steps in his recovery from the serious knee injury he suffered during the pre-season The Real Madrid midfielder has been taken through hydrotherapy sessons in the covered pool at the club's training complex in Valdebebas, walking slowly through the water is one of the first exercises in the rehabilitation programme as Asensio works towards his return to the game.
Asensio suffered a ruptured ACL and meniscus in his left knee during the friendly meeting with Arsenal on 23 July. On 7 August, he underwent an operation in Madrid and faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines. How long Asensio will be out for will depend on how quickly he is able to get through each stage of his recovery which could last anything from six to eight months.
As the video shows, he is making progress - less than a month after surgery he is now walking which is encouraging news. Ánimo!
