Real Madrid’s Florentino Pérez wishes Cristiano Ronaldo a happy birthday
The Real Madrid president lauded the Juventus player on his 35th birthday: “Congratulations to the best player in the world, we think about you a lot”.
Cristiano Ronaldo turned 35 this Wednesday and among the innumerable congratulations from the world of football and beyond was a message from Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez: “Congratulations to the best player in the world, we think about you a lot.”
Birthday messages for Cristiano Ronaldo
Pérez sent his birthday message to the player who was at Real Madrid for nine season via Portuguese newspaper Récord. The outlet also published a message from Atlético Madrid record signing Joao Félix, saying there was no doubt Ronaldo is “the best in the world” and the he hoped to “carry on playing” alongside him with the Portuguese national side.
Ronaldo still banging in the goals
Ronaldo seems to be unaffected by age at this point in his career, having scored 22 goals already this season with Juventus: 19 in Serie A, 2 in the Champions League and one in the Italian Cup.
In total Ronaldo has scored 722 goals in official matches: five with Sporting Lisbon, 118 with Manchester United, 450 with Real Madrid, 50 with Juventus and 99 for his country.
Ronaldo could get his highly anticipated 100th goal for his country in the friendly between Spain and Portugal to be played on 5 June at the Wanda Metropolitano in Madrid.
