Casemiro: "The most important is yet to come"

Casemiro won Real Madrid's player of the month for January and promised that the most important moments are yet to come from Zinedine Zidane's side this season.

"January was special for us," he said. "The team has grown a lot and everyone is playing well. It's an individual award but always with the help of my teammates because in football, you always have to think about the collective."

Real Madrid were knocked out of the Copa del Rey by Real Sociedad recently but they won the Spanish Super Cup in January and the Brazilian midfielder says being first in LaLiga and the Champions League is where the team's focus now lies.

"There are a lot of important things to come," he said. "We are in a good dynamic, first in LaLiga and the Champions League to come. You have to keep working and fighting because the most important is yet to come."
