The coronavirus upended the regular season last spring causing it to be cut by 102 games to just 60. The teams agreed to an extra round of playoffs in an expanded postseason where they have taken place at a neutral location with strict protocols due to the pandemic. It will be only the second time all games in the World Series will be played in the same stadium, in 1944 the St. Louis Cardinals and St. Louis Browns both shared the same home stadium Sportsman’s Park.
With the @Dodgers and @RaysBaseball, it will be the 4th time the teams with the best record in each league have faced each other in the World Series in the Wild Card Era.
