PSG put pressure on Mbappé to renew

The Ligue 1 club want to convince the French international to renew until 2024. Al Khelaïfi is hoping that he goes to the 2022 World Cup as a PSG player.

Update:
PSG put pressure on Mbappé to renew

The never-ending story of 2021 is undoubtedly the renewal of Kylian Mbappé. The French international has not made a decision yet regarding his future and, according to information from L'Equipe, PSG are putting pressure on the player's entourage to advance negotiations in order to close his contract extension as soon as possible.

Mbappé considering leaving Paris

The French daily outlet claims that Mbappé is still considering leaving Paris. However, reports also suggest that the player is happy in Paris, especially after the Champions League victory over Bayern Munich, and every day he feels a bigger part of the project. PSG's objective is for Mbappé to renew for at least two more years and to be one of the flag-bearers of the 2022 World Cup, a tournament for which Nasser Al Khelaïfi is an ambassador.

The possibility of Mbappé renewing until 2024 could be a way of delaying his departure. Al Khelaïfi could let him leave in 2023 for a reasonable figure if the French international ends up extending his deal by two more years. As reported by L'Equipe, the club have intensified negotiations with the player's entourage, although there is nothing concrete yet.

PSG keen to do Mbappé deal

PSG remain hopeful that the new contract offered to Mbappé will be unaffordable for most European teams. The latest offer from Les Parisiens to the forward is €30 million gross per season, €5 million more than he currently receives. The club hope that this financial package will be enough to convince one of Europe's current greats, who has yet to respond to the latest offer from his team.
