PSG's Mbappé suggests summer Real Madrid move not on the cards
In a joint interview with fellow PSG star Neymar, Kylian Mbappé has spoken of his desire to win the Champions League with the Ligue 1 club.
Although Kylian Mbappé has told Paris Saint-Germain he doesn’t intend to renew his contract, the striker’s most recent remarks suggest he won’t be leaving the French capital this summer.
Mbappé dreaming of Champions League glory with PSG
Together with PSG colleague Neymar, Mbappé is the cover star of the latest edition of the Ligue 1 club’s official magazine, telling an interview given alongside the Brazilian that he has set his heart on winning European football’s top club prize in Paris.
"My great dream is to be able to win the Champions League with PSG - that would be fantastic," Mbappé said, per Paris United, which has had access to the interview.
With Mbappé’s PSG contract due to expire in June 2022, Madrid have been hoping to persuade the Parisians to sell the France international for a knockdown price this summer, rather than risk losing him for free in 12 months’ time.
However, the player's latest comments indicate he may see out the final year of his contract at the Parc des Princes and bid to help PSG to their first ever European title.
Mbappé back in training with PSG
Mbappé is currently in pre-season training with PSG and could get his first run-out since returning from his summer break in Sunday’s Trophée des Champions against Lille.
