What's Manny Pacquiao's boxing record?
Filipino boxing great Manny Pacquiao takes on Cuban Yordenis Ugás for the WBA 'super' welterweight title in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Manny Pacquiao returns to the ring after a two-year absence on Saturday as the boxing legend faces off against Yordenis Ugás in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao to fight Ugás after Spence Jr pull-out
Pacquiao, 42, was originally due to fight IBF and WBC welterweight world champion Errol Spence Jr, but the American was forced to withdraw earlier this month due to an eye injury.
Pacquiao, who has won major world championships in eight weight divisions, will instead challenge Ugás for the WBA ‘super’ welterweight title - a belt handed to the Cuban after ‘Pac Man’ was stripped of it due to inactivity in January.
Holder of world titles in four different decades
Pacquiao, who now serves as a senator in his native Philippines, has not fought since winning the ‘super’ welterweight crown in a split-decision victory over American Keith Thurman in July 2019.
Before having to give that belt up this year, he had become the only boxer ever to hold world titles in four different decades: the 1990s, 2000s, 2010s and 2020s.
Pacquiao's professional boxing record: 62-7-2
The Filipino’s triumph over Thurman left him with a boxing record of 62 wins (39 of which by knockout), seven losses and two draws since his professional debut, a unanimous-decision win over compatriot Edmund Enting Ignacio in January 1995.
Pacquiao’s last defeat was a points loss to Australian Jeff Horn in a July 2017 WBO welterweight title fight in Brisbane.
