Man United were drawn in Group F where the Red Devils will face Villarreal, Atlanta and Swiss champions Young Boys from Bern.
Last Thursday, the 32 participants in this year's UEFA Champions League discovered their group stage opponents ahead of the start of the next stage of the competition. The following day, following the completion of both the Conference and Europa League draws,European football's governing body confirmed the dates and kick-off times for the 2021/22 group stage.

United will head into the group stage anxious to progress to the next phase as Cristiano Ronaldo makes a return for the Old Trafford side following his surprise move to Manchester from Juve. At a glance it would appear that two from three will progress with Young Boys out of their depth and United, Atalanta and Europa League winners Villarreal (who incidentally beat the Red Devils in the Gdansk final) jockeying for the two spaces in the Round of 16.
