Miralem Pjanic was called into Ronald Koeman's Barcelona squad to face Getafe on Sunday. With Pedri off on holiday, Sergi Roberto was chosen and then Gavi, a 17-year-old who became the fourth youngest debutant in Barça's La Liga history. Meanwhile, the Bosnian midfielder remained on the bench.

His name was in the squad due to the need to complete the list rather than anything else. With less than 48 hours to go in the transfer window, Pjanic could end up back in Turin, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Italian daily argues that Juventus boss Allegri would be more than delighted to get his former player, who would be the icing on the cake for his rebuilding process, once the trasnfer of Moise Kean, another former Juve player, is made official.

They also report that Barcelona would be willing to help facilitate his departure and would even pay 50% of his wage. Napoli, Fiorentina (who have already bought Torreira) and Roma have also shown interest in Pjanic, but it seems that the Old Lady are ready to make the final push.

Frantic hours

Barcelona have beem unable to sell Umtiti and Coutinho, and Pjanic now looks like the only one with a real chance of departing Camp Nou in the coming hours. There was already talk that it would have to be through a loan deal, and this information detailed by La Gazzetta confirms that. Juventus are confident that they can get a deal across the line, as they also have the midfielder's approval. Tolisso and Witsel appear as alternatives, but the Bosnian is the main target. A few hours of frantic negotiations await.
