Kosovo vs Spain: times, TV and how to watch online

Spain travel to face Kosovo in a crucial World Cup qualifier for La Roja at the Pristina City Stadium on Wednesday.

After losing to 2-1 Sweden last week, Luis Enrique’s men got back on track with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Georgia on Sunday and will now look to record a second consecutive win against Kosovo, who lost 3-1 when the sides met in March in Seville.

Anything less than a win will leave Spain’s hopes of securing the top guaranteed qualification spot in a precarious position. The 2010 World Cup winners currently sit top of Group B with 10 points (3 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss), but only one point separates them from second-placed Sweden, who have two games in hand.

But third-placed Kosovo could prove to be a tricky opponent for Spain, with Wednesday’s hosts looking to extend their unbeaten run to three games. After a hard-fought away win against Georgia (1-0) and a commendable 1-1 home draw against Greece, Bernard Challandes’s side will go into the game full of confidence, knowing an unlikely victory would keep their even more unlikely chances of securing the second qualification spot alive. Kosovo have lost just one of their last six fixtures in all competition, winning four and drawing once.

Spain will be without center-back Pau Torres, midfielder Pedri and attackers Dani Olmo and Mikel Oyarzabal, all of whom have been given extended leave after having featured in Euro 2020 and the Olympic Games over the summer. Thiago Alcantara, Fabian Ruiz and Diego Llorente are also not in the squad, while left-back Jose Gaya is unavaible after picking up an injury in Sunday’s win over Georgia.
