Man Utd players scared to eat junk food in front of Ronaldo
Manchester United goalkeeper Lee Grant has revealed that he and his team mates didn't dare to eat the customary post-dinner dessert after seeing Ronaldo's healthy dinner plate at the team hotel before a recent match.
It appears Cristiano Ronaldo’s dietary habits are already rubbing off on his Manchester United team mates.
The key to the longevity and incredible physique of the Portuguese star is as much down to his diet as his stringent training regime. The five-time Ballon d’Or is renowned for his healthy diet, which focuses on lean protein dishes, whole grains and salads, while he tries to avoid sugars, fats and carbohydrates.
It was expected that Ronaldo’s influence among Manchester United players would be felt both on and off the pitch, and that seems to be already happening in the team canteen.
No junk food for Man Utd players
Speaking to TalkSport, Red Devils goalkeeper Lee Grant explained he and his team mates all watched avidly to see what Ronaldo was eating for dinner at the team hotel the night before a recent match. And after seeing the 36-year-old tuck into a plate of quinoa, avocado and boiled eggs, Grant revealed that not one of this team mates got up to have a piece of customary dessert.

"You finish your dinner and usually on a Friday night you've got a few cheat stuff out,” Grant said.
"You've got a bit of apple crumble and custard or you've got a bit of brownie and cream.
"I tell you now, not one player touched the apple crumble and custard, not one player went up for that brownie.
"We were sat down on our table for table pre-match and straight away one of the lads said to me 'what has Cristiano got on his plate?'
"We were having a little goosey-gander over at what he's got and obviously it's the cleanest, most healthy plate you could imagine. It just cracked me up how not one player got up to take that junk food on which was laid out."
Since his return to Old Trafford, Ronaldo has scored four goals in three games. And with United sitting third in the Premier League table with four wins and one draw from five games and level on points with leaders Chelsea, confidence is growing in the Red side of Manchester that CR7 could lead United to a serious title challenge this season.
