Current Champions League champions Chelsea will be looking to get back to winning ways after losing to Manchester City last weekend against Juventus on Wednesday night.

The Italian giants will try to achieve their fourth win in five matches across all competitions and extend their unbeaten record against the English side to four games.

I Bianconeri, who didn’t win any of their opening four Italian league matches, in one of the club's worst starts in 60 years, climbed to the 10th position in the standings (two wins, defeats and draws) after emerging victorious in their last two clashes against Spezia and Sampdoria, scoring three goals in each of those games.

The stats favor La Vecchia Signora

La Vecchia Signora won their opening Champions League match in Group H earlier this month with a clear 3-0 win against Swedish outfit Malmo, but now Massimiliano Allegri’s side will face one of the toughest opponents in Europe, who have lost only three of their last 32 Champions League group stage games.

Moreover, Tuchel also boasts an equally impressive win ratio of 68%, the third-highest of any manager in the competition to have taken charge of at least 20 group-stage matches.

However, Juventus have an impressive record against the Blues. The Italians have won seven times, including four of their last five on home soil.

Will the Tuchel factor be too much for the Italians?

Thomas Tuchel's men, sitting third in the Premier League standings, want to forget their defeat to Manchester City with a victory in Turin that would put them in the first position of Group H. Chelsea beat Zenit St Petersburg in the opening game two weeks ago.

Chelsea, though, will have to fight against the stats too: they have lost each of their last four Champions League away games against Italian opposition, with all four defeats against a different opponent.

Juventus won’t be able to call upon the services of key players Álvaro Morata and Paolo Dybala, while Reece James, Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, through injury, and N’Golo Kanté, ruled out after testing positive for coronavirus, won’t play in Turin.
