Golden State Warriors 21/22: roster, new signings, cuts and trades
The San Francisco NBA team wants to restore their roster for title contention with an attempt to charge it with crucial stats, solving their big questions.
After signing Gary Payton II yesterday, few days after being waived, the Golden State Warriors finally have a confirmed 15-man roster for the NBA 2021-2022 season.
NBA news:
A quick glance at the roster and the new signings
Their undefeated preseason shows how well-prepared unit of players Steve Kerr has at his disposal.
This season, the players who came in are the small forward Andre Iguodala, Serbian power forward Nemanja Bjelica, both veteran players signed from Miami Heat; Otto Porter Jr., the small forward who played at Orlando; and the rookies Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Mody along with Damion Lee, who spent the previous two seasons playing for the Warriors development team.

Warriors prospect first lineup
While Steph Curry and Draymond Green will secure the Warriors until the arrival of Klay Thompson, the support of Golden State’s rotation will look somewhat modified. While the shooting guard job is Klay Thompson's when he returns to the floor, Jordan Poole will be adjacent to Curry to start the season. Andrew Wiggins will use up much of the time at small forward for the Warriors, just like he did in a solid 2020-2021 campaign. As the last piece of the puzzle, Andre Iguodala will give Kerr the option to use him in different positions during the game.
Who was waived
The Golden State Warriors have waived forward/center Jordan Bell, guards Avery Bradley, and Mychal Mulder. Bell appeared in four preseason games for the Warriors, averaging 3.0 points and 1.5 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game. Bradley averaged 4.3 points, 1.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.25 steals in 12.8 minutes over four preseason contests for Golden State. Mulder played in four preseason games for the Warriors, averaging 5.8 points in 10.5 minutes per game
