Christmas Day will be bereft of NBA and long into the hibernation cycle of MLB, but never fear sports fans, Kris Kringle will be delivering two tasty NFL games for you to feast on. In the ersatz primetime slot the Indianapolis Colts will travel to sunny Arizona to face the Cardinals.

For the Colts, this will mark the first game played on Christmas Day in franchise history and only the 17th regular season encounter between these cross-conference teams. Standing at eight wins apiece, the last meeting saw the Cardinals win 16-13 in overtime during Week 2 of the 2017 season.

The 6-6 Colts are currently in second place in the AFC South and are strong contenders for a postseason run. Riding Carson Wentz strong air power, the Indianapolis only narrowly lost to defending Super Bowl champs Tampa Bay last week, and there were moments when they looked to have the Bucs on the ropes. Their running game needs to step up and hold the ball more if they are to have a chance at moving over .500 on the season.

The 9-2 Arizona Cardinals are the most exciting team in the NFC and currently posses the best record in the NFL. Working behind Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins, the Cardinals offense is not afraid to go toe to toe with this very strong Colts defense.

If you fancy the trip out West to see this one in person, I wouldn’t wait too long to buy your tickets, they are selling fast and may sell out very soon. Tickets are still available through the teams and websites such as StubHub or Ticketmaster, costing between $100 and $2494 per seat.

If like the rest of us mere mortals you find yourself content to watch the game on TV or via a streaming service, it will be available on CBS and NFL Network. Kickoff is slated for 8:15 p.m. ET
