Copa del Rey 2021-22 round of 16 draw: how and where to watch, times, TV, online

Real Madrid and Barcelona just about managed to reach the round of 16 of the 2021-22 Copa del Rey, the Liga giants avoiding potential pitfalls away at lower-league opposition Alcoyano, where Madrid lost season, and Linares, respectively, as Barça seek to defend their title and Carlo Ancelotti looks to repeat his trick of delivering the Copa in his first season at the Bernabéu, as he did in 2013-14, the last time Madrid lifted the trophy.

Sevilla, Villarreal, Athletic and Atlético are among the historic Copa sides who will be looking to avoid the fate of Celta, who were beaten by Atlético Baleares, by booking their places in the round of 16 on Thursday evening.

The winners of the Spanish Copa del Rey 2021-22 earn themselves a place in the 2022-23 Europa League group stage while the runners-up join the victors in the 2022-23 Spanish Super Cup.
