During the NFC South champions' divisional-round matchup between the Rams and the Bucs on Sunday, Tom Brady was whistled for his first unsportsmanlike conduct penalty of his career.

After what looked like a hit in the face by the Rams pass rusher Von Miller, Brady felt he had a reason to yell at officials, especially as the Buccaneers had just had their most productive drive of the struggling first half.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion turned to officials yelling, with a finger pointed to his bloody chin, when Shawn Hochuli flagged his yellow card at Brady.

The 15-yard penalty marked the first unsportsmanlike penalty in Brady’s 22-year career.

TB12, who led the league in passing yards during the regular season, had a slow performance in the first half against the Rams, with no touchdown throws, an interception and a sack. He was not able to complete his first pass until Tampa’s third possession of the game, evidently showing his frustration.

And while the ‘comeback kid’ ended up taking the game to a 27-27 tied score a few minutes before the end of the matchup, a 30-yard field goal by Matt Gay concluded a 30-27 win for the Rams.

Los Angeles are going to be at home for the NFC Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers, on Sunday 30 January.
