The New York Giants Safety Logan Ryan, who won two Super Bowls in four seasons playing with Tom Brady in New England, is about to reunite with the Tampa Bay quarterback.

Following New York’s release of the 31-year old veteran defensive back on Thursday evening, Ryan agreed to a one-year contract with the Buccaneers, saving the Giants just $775,000 in cap space.

Ryan Logan "excited to be back with Brady"

“I fly down (to Tampa) Tuesday to figure out the rest of the terms,” Ryan told NFL insiders. “I’m excited to be back with Brady.”

The long-time NFL veteran started 30 of the 31 games with the Giants, recording 211 tackles, 17 passes defensed, five forced fumbles and one interception.

During his time with the Tennessee Titans in 2017, Ryan famously intercepted Brady’s final pass as a Patriots’ quarterback. The two were bound to meet last season when the Giants played the Bucs in Tampa Bay, but Ryan didn’t make it to the game due to testing positive for covid 19.

The Buccaneers went for some experience and depth in the secondary after their safety Jordan Whitehead headed to the New York Jets.
