With the Russian Grand Prix cancelled, Formula 1 2022 had to cancel plans for a first-ever 23 race schedule, but that does not dilute the excitement ahead.
Charles Leclerc opened the season with a win in the Grand Prix Bahrain, as Ferrari finished first and second. There are 22 more races left in the season.

The Formula One season is officially underway, with Charles Leclerc and the Ferrari car taking the first race in Bahrain. Max Verstappen will defend his title after narrowly edging out living legend Lewis Hamilton last season.
This season was meant to be a historic one for Formula One. There should have been a record-breaking total of 23 races this year, starting with today's race at the Bahrain track, and finishing up in November in Abu Dhabi. But with Russia's unlawful invasion of Ukraine, the GP there was cancelled.
The United States will hold two Grands Prix, the first of which will be in held in Miami in early May and in Austin, Texas on 23 October. Monaco’s Gran Prix will be at the end of May, and Barcelona will host Spain’s sole race of the season. There will be no Grand Prix in China due to on going pandemic concerns.
