Chris Brown and Chlöe Bailey surprised fans earlier on Thursday by teasing a new collaboration together. The singer, who goes by the stage name Chlöe, posted a steamy promotional picture of the two together to her Instagram and Twitter accounts.

The picture features the two in an embrace, with Brown’s hand on her waist in a backlit room. Chlöe is wearing a black full-length dress and several silver rings, while Brown is wearing an oversized black coat and sneakers.

Bailey captioned the post “2ND PIECE. HOW DOES IT FEEL,” and tagged Chris Brown’s official account in the post. She also revealed the release date to be February 24.

She followed up the tweet with another link to pre-save the track ‘How Does it Feel,’ on streaming services.

The song will be from Chlöe’s upcoming debut album ‘In Pieces’, set to be released sometime in March. She announced her upcoming album with a video teaser in January.

Newly solo artist

Chlöe used to be a part of an R&B duo with her sister Halle, forming the group Chloe x Halle. However, In January 2021, the duo announced they were splitting citing they both want to pursue their passions separately.

Since their separation, Chlöe has released a couple of singles leading up to her upcoming debut album, while Halle was cast to star in Disney’s live-action remake of the ‘Little Mermaid,’ set to release in May.

Criticism of the collaboration

Soon after the announcement of the collaboration, many fans of the artist took to Twitter to criticize Chlöe for working with Chris Brown, citing his problematic history.

Chris Brown has made headlines for various legal issues throughout his career, including his publicly documented domestic abuse case with singer, and then-girlfriend, Rihanna.

Despite the outpour of criticisms of the collaboration, Chlöe and Chris Brown have collaborated before on a lesser-known track. In August 2022, Chlöe and Chris Brown were both featured on The Game’s ‘Universal Love’ along with R&B singer Cassie.
