Gwyneth Paltrow’s Christmas list: from a $15,000 sex toy to a $50,000 stay on a private island
As part of her wellness tips, the actress has published a list of the products that she recommends to give as gifts on December 25.
For some time now, The United States ushers in the Christmas period in two steps. First, when Mariah Carey defrosts her now classic All I Want for Christmas Is You, and second, when Thanksgiving Day ends. Once these two events have been surpassed, and with the days ticked off until December, many are already beginning to write the list of gifts that they want to see under their luminous fir tree on the next 25th. One well-known face has already done hers - Gwyneth Paltrow. And the list is so particular that it has drawn a lot of comments...
Although the actress of Shakespeare in Love and Seven has emphasized that her list is “economical”, or at least that it can be affordable for all budgets, the truth is that it is an extravagant wishlist full of items that border on the surreal. She also assured that all types of tastes are accounted for. And in that she is certainly not wrong, since her requests range from a board game to a gold-plated vibrator.
“The Midas touch”
All the future gifts, with their respective description made by the actress, have been published in Goop, the wellness and lifestyle company founded by Paltrow in 2008. Among other items, you can find a handcrafted backgammon set for $14,580, which qualifies as an “artistic piece”, a bracelet for $29,400 and luxurious Asian-style decorations to harmonize your home - including a $2,000 gong or a pyramidal vase - yours for just under $17,000, or for that special man in your life, a snazzy Rolex Black Dial Daytona, a snip at $28,495.
However, of all the products there is one that has powerfully caught the attention of all buyers and curious people: a gold vibrator valued at $15,000 and that the actress describes in a subtle and ingenious way: “The Midas Touch...” The list of products is so bizarre that right next to the gold-plated sex toy is a $400 chunk of Parmesan cheese. Something for everyone.
An indispensable part of the list is travel. And in this line of adventures you can find an offer of seven days crossing the North Pole by airship, the price of which is not specified and is at the disposal of the company that charters the flight, a safari from the modest amount of $30,200 a day or a stay in the Fiji Islands $40,000 per night (yes, a minimum of three). And if you prefer to stay in the countryside you can find a humble glamping cabin for a cool million.
