The history of cinema has been written in several Academy Awards ceremonies, where various films, actors, and directors have broken records, such as ‘La La Land’ (2016) by Damien Chazelle, one of the movies with the most nominations in the history of the awards show.
‘La La Land’ had a total of 14 nominations, being the most recent film to obtain this record, which it shares with ‘Titanic’ (1997) and ‘All about Eve’ (1950).

‘La La Land’ and the historic mistake at the Oscars
‘La La Land’ not only made history as one of the most nominated films, but also gifted the Academy one of the worst mistakes.
During the 89th Academy Awards ceremony, actors Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway were in charge of making the last and most awaited announcement: Best Picture of the year, but no one knew they would announce the wrong movie.
The actors announced ‘La La Land’ as the winner, when in fact it was ‘Moonlight’ who took home the award.
