Salma Hayek and Channing Tatum’s close call on set of ‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’
The third and final instalment of the ‘Magic Mike’ series hits theaters February 10.
Salma Hayek and Channing Tatum had a close call while filming a steamy scene in the upcoming film ‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’.
Directed by Steven Soderbergh, the film is a sequel to 2015′s ‘Magic Mike XXL’, as well as the third and final instalment of the ‘Magic Mike’ trilogy.
During a recent appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, Hayek discussed how filming a steamy lap dance scene with Tatum almost “killed her”.
“You know, this one part that’s not in it where I’m upside down and my legs had to be somewhere,” she told Kimmel. “But upside down, one loses sense of direction, and I didn’t do what I was supposed to do, so in the rehearsal, I went like, head down, almost hitting my head.
“[Tatum] held on to my pants, but I was really concerned because my pants were going away, and I couldn’t remember if I had underwear or not in this moment.
“So, instead of putting my hands up to protect my head, I just held onto the pants. He’s like, “Put your hands up,” and I’m like, “No, no, no, no.’”
The Mexican star added: “Everybody came in, and kind of took me away from him, and he said, ‘What’s wrong with you?’ I said, ‘What’s wrong with me? You nearly killed me!’”

‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’ stars Channing Tatum as Mike Lane, along with Salma Hayek, Ayub Khan Din, Jemelia George, Juliette Motamed, Vicki Pepperdine, Gavin Spokes, Caitlin Gerard and Christopher Bencomo.
It’s the third instalment in the ‘Magic Mike’ series, which began with the 2012 movie ‘Magic Mike’ that was loosely based on Tatum’s experiences as a stripper in Florida.
The film starred Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Matthew McConaughey. Although the Steven Soderbergh-direct film had a low budget, it became an unlikely box office hit, making $167.2 million.
The sequel, ‘Magic Mike XXL’, saw Tatum, Bomer and Manganiello return, and grossed $122.5 million following its release in 2015.
‘Magic Mike’s Last Dance’ is the third and final instalment of the ‘Magic Mike’ series, and will be theatrically released on February 10 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
