What will ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3 be about?

“The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars galaxy continue. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu,” reads the official synopsis.

“Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.”

While the synopsis doesn’t reveal much, the end of Season 2 saw Grogu and Din Djarin separated. However, ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ saw the pair reunited, and in the final scene, they flew away together.

Director Jon Favreau told Disney+ Informer that the third season will centre around Mandalore, with the Mandalorian’s homeworld being a key location.

“We established in ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ that there was an opportunity for the Mandalorian to be redeemed, because he had transgressed against the creed by removing his helmet,” he said.

“And among his group of Mandalorians that is something that is not permitted. Now, we know that there are other groups of Mandalorians that have different sets of rules.”

After being banished from the clan by the Armorer after admitting he took off his mask, Din will certainly be looking to make good with the last of his people.
