Netflix enters the 2026 Golden Globe Awards as one of the ceremony’s most dominant players, with major recognition across movie, television and stand-up comedy.

Leading the charge is Frankenstein, directed by Guillermo del Toro, which picked up five nominations including Best Motion Picture – Drama.

Del Toro’s adaptation of Mary Shelley’s Gothic classic also earned acting nods for Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi, alongside nominations for Best Director and Best Original Score for Alexandre Desplat. It marks the fourth del Toro film to be recognized by the Globes, following Pan’s Labyrinth, The Shape of Water and Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio.

Another headline moment comes from George Clooney, who earned his 14th Golden Globe nomination for his role in Jay Kelly, directed by Noah Baumbach. Clooney’s performance is joined by a supporting nomination for Adam Sandler, adding to Netflix’s strong showing in the musical or comedy categories.

Animation also shines, with KPop Demon Hunters landing three nominations, including Best Animated Motion Picture and Cinematic and Box Office Achievement. Its globally viral song ‘Golden’ (just ask your kids about it if you’re unsure) is up for Best Original Song, recognizing directors Chris Appelhans and Maggie Kang and an extensive first-time nominated songwriting team.

On the television side, Emmy shot-in-one-take juggernaut Adolescence continues its awards momentum with five nominations, including breakthrough acting recognition for Owen Cooper, plus nods for Stephen Graham, Ashley Walters and Erin Doherty.

Other Netflix series to feature prominently include The Diplomat, Black Mirror, The Beast in Me and romantic comedy Nobody Wants This, which earned acting nominations for Kristen Bell and Adam Brody.

Stand-up rounds out Netflix’s award potential, with Kevin Hart: Acting My Age nominated alongside specials from Ricky Gervais and Sarah Silverman.
