Why did Peter Krause leave “9-1-1”? The actor reveals the causes of his surprise exit
Now in its eighth season, 9-1-1 has been a hit for both Fox before moving to the ABC network.


Since its premiere on January 3, 2018, the first six seasons of 9-1-1 aired on Fox before moving to ABC starting with season seven and earlier this month it was confirmed that the series will be renewed for a ninth season.
The show centers around the intense and often life-threatening situations that first responders (police officers, firefighters, paramedics, and dispatchers) face daily in Los Angeles.
However one character not to be around for the next series will be Robert ‘Bobby’ Nash after the surprise news that actor Peter Krause decided to leave the show with the character killed off in the latest episode.

Speaking to Good Morning America, Krause outlined his reasons for leaving the successful show admitting that playing the role of Bobby has shaped who he’s become over the last decade.
‘Someone’s got to die’
“It would come as no surprise to the viewing audience that Bobby chooses to save Chimney and stoically contains himself in a lab,” he told the ABC morning series. “He was willing to sacrifice himself so that others can see another day. I will miss everybody dearly. This was my workplace home for eight years, eight seasons and I am really gonna miss everybody.”
