Update:

A trip to Disney World is a fantasy for many people in the world. Whether it’s seeing the famous castles, meeting the characters and getting their signatures or riding the iconic rides, everyone from children to adults have once in their life had the dream of getting a chance to go.

Just as many people harbour the wish of going, many are also priced out of doing so. Not many things are cheap nowadays, and a Disney World trip certainly falls outside of that category, with families forced to pay upwards of $10,000 to make it a reality.

How much does it cost to go to Disney World?

Money site nerdwallet says the following: “a family of four should expect to spend a minimum of $6,000 once on-property for seven nights at Walt Disney World, including food, hotel, theme park tickets and add-ons."

The cheapest on-site hotels cost close to $300 per night, with the deluxe options firing way over $800.

Day tickets cost, for a family of four, around $700, with a 5-day option looking to set you back over $2,100. Single-day single person tickets can range from anywhere between $109 and $189.

However, they add, it can be done for less. Cutting back on theme park days, booking more budget-friendly Disney Good Neighbor Hotels instead of the hugely inflated on-site locations and checking out Disney World family vacation packages are all ways of saving some extra cash.

Nerdwallet break it down in the following way: the upcoming prices in the table include the cost of three meals per day on Disney property, daily theme park tickets and overnight stays at a Disney-owned hotel.

Budget option$1,227$2,783$6,463
Standard option$1,525$3,636$8,912
