The adorable Rottweiler who moved his owner by showing he will protect her forever: “Don’t mess with mom”

Among all the dogs you might see on the street the Rottweiler is one of the most notorious for its reputation as dangerous. And it’s understandable. Its powerful bite and physical traits have earned it this reputation: from being known as the “Butcher Dog of Rottweil” (a German town between the Black Forest and the Swabian Jura) to becoming a police and military dog, and its obvious role as a guardian in herding.

But it’s not all about the stereotype. The truth is, this dog—like other breeds with a similar reputation—is just as protective and fierce as it is loving and gentle. A perfect example is Dyce, a Rottweiler who has recently gone viral on social media because of the love he shows whenever he’s near his human mom.

“The sweetest boy”

In a recent video shared on the Instagram account “Dycederottweiler,” which has a whopping 330,000 followers, his owner revealed the reality behind this breed—that he really is “the sweetest boy”: he lounges on the couch, rolls on the floor, lets himself be hugged on an armchair, and walks around with his favorite stuffed toy, holding it in his mouth like a puppy.

He hasn’t stopped at just this side of him. The content creator managing the account has advised her community to be careful not to mistreat those who own this type of dog because their loyalty drives them to protect their loved ones at all costs. “Don’t mess with mom,” she says, sharing a video where Dyce fiercely barks from the bed at someone who seems to have entered the room while his owner was lying down.

The comment section has filled with heartfelt messages calling Dyce “a big baby” and crowning him “the king of the street” because of the happiness he radiates as he strolls through the streets with his mom.
