Judge and Trump share focus on night of remembrance at Yankee Stadium
A symbolic night at Yankee Stadium marked the 24th anniversary of the Twin Towers attack.

The New York Yankees commemorated the 24th anniversary of the September 11 attacks during the third game of their series against the Detroit Tigers at Yankee Stadium.
Tonight, we remember those we lost, the heroism of all who bravely sacrificed their own lives to save others, and those who died from illnesses obtained at Ground Zero. Their spirit lives on today with our First Responders and all who serve our communities and our country.

In an emotional ceremony, the president of the United States, Donald Trump, was in attendance but left shortly after the seventh inning stretch. When Aaron Judge hit his first home run of the night, Trump rose to his feet and applauded, joined by those accompanying him, including Attorney General Pam Bondi and Environmental Protection Agency chief Lee Zeldin.
Before the game, the president visited the Yankees’ clubhouse, shaking hands with players and staff. He shared a few words and anecdotes, including memories of his relationship with then-team owner George Steinbrenner.
