Rockies lose seventh straight game and now 2-16 under interim manager Schaeffer
The 2025 season will go down in the Colorado Rockies record books, but for all the wrong reasons.

The 2025 Colorado Rockies are on track to write a unique page in the MLB history books but for fans of The Rox, this will have nothing to do with winning a World Series of establishing new batting records.
The Coloradio team are set to break a MLB Modern Era (since 1901) record for the most defeats in a regular season.
In 2024, the Chicago White Sox broke the record previously held by the 1962 New York Mets when the recorded just 41 wins and 121 losses (.253 winning percentage).

After 58 games, the Rockies have won only 9 and tasted defeat on 49 occasions.
With the defeat to the Mets on Saturday (8-2), the Rockies lost their seventh straight game and fell to 2-16 under interim manager Warren Schaeffer. Colorado also extended a major league record with its 22nd straight series loss.

“It’s frustrating, but it’s not debilitating,” Schaeffer said. “We know that the tide is going to turn. We just know that. We keep playing like this, not beating ourselves, executing -- we definitely did not beat ourselves today.”
Next up for the Rockies is a three game series against the Florida Marlins at the LoanDepot Park in Miami.
