The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers are facing each other in the 2024 World Series; The ‘Bronx Bombers’ managed to avoid a sweep by sealing it with a victory in the fourth game.

During the first three games, the Los Angeles Dodgers dominated the Yankees, first with a 6-3 victory in ten innings with a walk off grand slam by Freddy Freeman. In the second game, they beat them 4-2, with a domintating outing by Yoshinobu Yamamato. In the third game, the Dodgers got it done at Yankee Stadium with another 4 - 2 win relying on solid pitching by Walker Buehler and another home run by Freddy Freeman. The fourth game saw the Yankees finally get hot with the bats, knocking in 11 runs to Dodgers’ 4.

Both teams are fighting for the long-awaited Commissioner’s Trophy. The last time the Yankees won the World Series was in 2009. The Dodgers last won in the shortened 2020 season.
