Who is throwing the ceremonial first pitch for game 6 of the MLB World Series?
Here’s who is throwing the ceremonial first pitch for game 6 of the MLB World Series.

We’re at Game 6 in the World Series, and the Toronto Blue Jays are leading the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-2 and are closing in on the prospect of sealing the win in front of their home crowd.
For the match, the side have gone big: former centre-fielder Devon White is set to take the mound for the ceremonial first pitch ahead of Game 6. The honour comes at a moment of high stakes, as the Jays have the chance to clinch their first championship since 1993.
White, now 62, was a key figure during Toronto’s early-1990s glory days and later with the Florida Marlins. He earned rings in ’92 and ’93 with the Canadian team, and again in ’97 with the Marlins. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, he spent five seasons patrolling centre field in Toronto and became on one of the league’s top players thanks to his defensive skills.

On those two Jays championship teams, White hit .330 while collecting two home runs and 13 RBIs across those post-season runs.
It’s worth noting that the club has leaned into its history for these moments: former manager Cito Gaston threw the first pitch in Game 1, while another ’93 hero, Joe Carter, also received the ceremonial nod. So far, it’s given them great fortune; we await to see how they finish up.
The game will be played on Friday, October 30, with the first pitch at 8:05 p.m. ET at Toronto’s Rogers Centre (Skydome). Fans can tune in to Fox Sports and ESPN, with coverage beginning at 7:45 p.m. ET.
