First Luka, now this: what the Mavs did to enrage fans even more
Dallas Mavericks fans are still fuming from the midseason trade that send Luka Doncic to Los Angeles in one of the most shocking deals in NBA history.

Less than a month after trading away the face of the franchise, the Dallas Mavericks made another move that is sure to cause even more uproar from the fans.
Harrison in the crosshairs
The Mavericks revealed that they will be raising ticket prices by an average of 8.61% for the 2025/26 season and team officials said the increase will go to “ongoing investments in the team and fan engagement”
The Dallas fans have made no secret of their discontent with management, namely Nico Harrison, in the aftermath of the Luka trade. We have seen mock funerals, stadium-wide protests and chant encouraging the firing of the GM Harrison.

To make matters worse, one of the main players they traded Luka for was Antony Davis and Davis got injured in his first game of the season. Meanwhile Luka has been a perfect fit in LA. He’s averaging 22 points, 8.3 rebounds and 6.8 assists.
The Mavs have dropped to the 10th spot in the West which would leave them in the Play-In game if the season ended today. If they continue to lose, that will only add fuel to the fire for a fan base that saw Doncic take Dallas to the NBA Finals.
