How much prize money did the Milwaukee Bucks receive for winning the 2024 NBA Cup?
Giannis Antetokounmpo was named MVP as the Bucks defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in Las Vegas to lift their first NBA Cup.

Giannis Antetokounmpo was the star of the show as the Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 97-81 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas to win the 2024 NBA Cup.
The two-time NBA MVP bagged 26 points, 19 rebounds and 10 assists as the Bucks’ second-half showing proved too much for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Co, with the third quarter, which Milwaukee won 26-14, especially decisive.
Unlike every other game in the NBA Cup, Tuesday’s was a one-off matchup which didn’t count towards the regular season. At stake, therefore, was the trophy itself and, of course, a cash incentive.
2024 NBA Cup prize money
As a result of their victory, each Bucks player has earned $514,970. For big stars on huge NBA contracts, including Antetokounmpo, that’s a relative drop in the ocean. But for role players and rookies, who might earn a little over $1 million per year, it’s a significant amount of money.
For reaching the final, members of the Thunder roster have been compensated with $205,988.
More financial incentives at stake in NBA Finals
After some brief respite, attention now turns back to the NBA regular season and the push to reach the NBA playoffs, where more money is at stake, as well as a hefty amount of prestige. Last year, Boston Celtics stars are thought to have pocketed $804,000 for winning the NBA Finals, not including bonuses including in their contracts.
The Bucks (14-11) are currently fifth in the Eastern Conference, while the Thunder (20-5) are flying high at the top in the West, so both teams will be confident of reaching the postseason.
