Estados Unidos Update:

Ja Morant has raised alarm bells around the Memphis Grizzlies after twisting his left ankle during Sunday’s practice. The team has decided to evaluate him on a week-to-week basis as the NBA preseason approaches.

The Grizzlies will open their regular season on October 22 against the New Orleans Pelicans, but before that, they have five preseason games scheduled.

Morant averaged 23.2 points, 7.3 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 50 appearances last season, remaining the focal point of Memphis’s offense despite a turbulent campaign.

The injury list for the Grizzlies doesn’t end there – Jaren Jackson Jr. is sidelined with a toe injury, while Brandon Clarke continues to recover from a knee issue, and rookie Zach Edey is also dealing with an ankle sprain.
