Update:

Joel Embiid, the star name at the Philadelphia 76ers, has been linked with a move away amid turbulent times at his team.

Sitting at the 12th seed with a 21-41 record, changes are likely afoot in Philly, with coach Nick Nurse and general manager Daryl Morey both suffering from itchy chair syndrome. But there’s more, Embiid may also be on the move.

The player signed a three-year extension worth $192.9 million dollars before the start of this season, but reports claim that his deal could see a premature end if the Sixers petition for a “medical retirement” if he isn’t ready to play in the next year.

Why Embiid should move to the Pistons

Recently, FadeAway World predicted that the third overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft could end up at the Detroit Pistons. It would be a simply stunning move that would catapult the Pistons from mid-table obscurity to playoff contenders.

Joining Cade Cunningham, Jaden Ivey and Ausar Thompson’s might be a stroke of genius from Embiid, who would leave the broken toy that is the 76ers, where George and Maxey are being left to carry the full weight of the team.

Adding Embiid to Cade Cunningham’s 25.5 PPG, 6.1 RPG, 9.4 APG, Ivey’s 17.6 points per game and Thompson’s defensive versatility could be a winning formula in the NBA.
