Mavs handed Irving injury update
Sources have told reporters that Kyrie Irving is recovering well from his ACL injury.

Finally, a break in the clouds. Dallas Mavericks fans rejoiced in unison after reports emerged that their star player, Kyrie Irving was recovering well from an ACL injury that ended his season prematurely.
The season for the Texan side has been marred by just about everything possible, from poor trade deals to owner unrest and fan backlash, the Lakers-Doncic move being the most high profile blunder of a historically bad campaign in modern NBA history.
But sources told ESPN that Kyrie Irving is completing his rehab nicely, and could even return to the court as soon as January 2026, adding that there is "an expectation around the team that Irving will be able to play a good amount of the 2025-26 season upon his return“.

What injury does Kyrie Irving have? When will he be back?
Irving sustained the knee injury late in the first quarter of a 122-98 loss to the Sacramento Kings on March 3; surgery to repair his torn ACL took place on March 26. Before his injury, Irving was averaging 24.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.
The 33-year-old currently has a $43 million player option for the 2025-26 season, which is the final year of his three-year, $126 million deal signed back in 2023.
Without Irving, the Dallas Mavericks stumbled to a ninth-place finish in the Western Conference with a 39-43 record overall, being put up against the Sacramento Kings in the play-in stage of the tournament.
